Being fifty-something, I love sussing out delicious new places to shop browse.
As you know, I don’t really shop (as such). I live to look, admire, stare, lust-after. I’m all “oooh” and “ahhh”.
Today I stepped inside a new shop … one I’d been seriously window-shopping (OK, relentlessly) for the past week. The newest object of my desire is Lunar Concept Store and Gallery, Pakington St, Geelong West.
It’s a sumptuous visual feast, so I’m going to let the pictures tell the story (for a change).
I think you get the picture … a fabulous textural fusion of vintage, apothecary, artworks, woodland, fur, feather and leather.
And then I looked up … occupying the ceiling space was a whole other layer of beautiful pieces, strikingly styled. But that’s another blog post (coming soon).
Lunar’s creativity springs from an all-girl team, Jordie and Ann-Maree Luke. They have an enviable collective eye for a stunning aesthetic. Many items are hand-crafted, hand-painted and original … they truly eclipse the ordinary.
Lunar Concept Store and Gallery is at 114 Pakington Street, Geelong West, a pleasant stroll (past several great coffee stop opportunities) from Eclectica and Shed Off Pako. Yet, another reason to make Pakington St a destination for your next shopping browsing expedition.
Phone Lunar on (03) 5221 9994 to check opening times … they’re very friendly.
(Again, this post is not sponsored in any way.)
